I wanted to share with you a little piece of advice that will make a large impact on your fitness goals. When I initially started my fitness journey, it wasn’t easy and boy did I want to give up. Now that I have started as a fitness coach, ive heard the same struggle from my clients. Ive bet you’ve probably dealt with it to, were all human!
But what I want you to realize is that Rome wasn’t built in a day and it takes time, so this mistake that im talking about is:
Giving up after a few weeks, if you haven’t seen results!
How many times have you started a workout plan, committed and changed your diet, only to see that the scale hasn’t budged! I HEAR YOU! Its a mind game baby and believe that you are doing something wrong, so instead of continuing to push yourself you give up. I get it, why would you want to continue to eat boiled chicken every day if its not getting rid of those unwanted love handles.
But heres what you need to understand:
TIME
I have been working out for YEARS and I had always been the same weight, playing competitive soccer but definitely not paying attention to what I was putting in my body. Fast forward to graduating College and moving away from family, I had gained a bunch of weight, exercised sometimes and continued to eat junk. I was so unhappy with how I had felt and new that I had to get back to my bubbly self. I started out doing HIIT workouts which had me feel amazing and allowed me to push myself which I hadn’t done in quite some time! I then started weightlifting and thats when my eyes really opened to what my body was capable of, my body started to completely change : I had Abs, LIKE WHAT? I don’t think I've ever had abs. I feel strong, beautiful and badass! Muscle takes time and you have to work at consistently. You cannot press fast forward when it comes to your fitness journey.

FAT LOSS AND WATER RETENTION
Did you know that your weight can fluctuate 5-10 lbs PER DAY, isn’t that crazy! There are so many factors that can depend how much water your body is holding ie, How much water you had, how salty your meals are even your hormones can come into play. I just want you remember thats not just about the number on the scale - that can really get into your head.
FOUNDATION
I have done the fad diets, I have done the shakes - been there done that! So im not going to tell any of clients to start counting calories or obsessing over food - sure I will help you get an understanding of clean eating and what that truly looks like but I don’t want anyone to develop unhealthy eating habits. When you start of slow and trust the process, your building a solid foundation which will develop BIG RESULTS.
Remember next time you start a new program: patience is key, be kind to your body, trust the process and get that booty moving!
